Building on the interests of Rosalinde and Arthur Gilbert, the Foundation supports core organizations in the Los Angeles Jewish community that cultivate tolerance, Jewish culture and education. In addition, we support innovative organizations addressing the needs of the next generation of young adults looking for alternative ways of creating Jewish life and identity. The funded organizations base their work on the Jewish tenet of repairing the world through social action. Thus, many of the organizations educate and respond to the needs of both Jews and non-Jews.
